Simplifai wins AI automation contract with The National Archives Services of Norway

Simplifai has won a contract with the National Archives Services of Norway. This is the first contract within the public sector, and it’s a great breakthrough for the company.

Together with Simplifai, the National Archives Services of Norway (NASN) wants to use AI technology to improve efficiency and eliminate the need for time-consuming manual archiving of e-mail. The public sector receives several hundred million e-mails annually, and today less than 2% of these are being archived. The National Archives’ vision is that employees should not have to spend their time on archiving e-mails.

Automatic archiving is a complex area to tackle due to the free-text nature of written communication, privacy concerns, and regulatory requirements. Creating a solution for intelligent and automated archiving will increase work efficiency and quality for the public archives, as well as facilitate transparency in the public sector.

“Developing a standardized free-text archiving tool based on our Digital Employee-technology together with NASN, being the norm-setting organization for archiving for the public sector in Norway, creates the possibility for a nationwide standard archiving tool. This could be the start of major efficiency gains in the public sector”

Daniel Kohn, Chief Commercial Officer in Simplifai.
